Before start creating audiences just look at types of audience. These are:
Saved Audience: This was the basic type of audience that you create based on demographics, location, interest, and behaviours.
Custom Audience: This audience is based on people’s action on your website it includes website visits, specific page visits, or any interaction that customers have in past with your business.Custom audience is best for retargeting ads.
Lookalike audience: A lookalike audience is similar to a custom audience, it consist of similar people who already are in your custom audience. You can choose how much percentage of custom audience you want to create. 1or 2% is gave great results.
Special Audience: this audience is used for social and political ad campaigns.
Steps to create Facebook ads
Step1: Create Facebook pixel
What is Facebook pixel
Facebook pixel is a piece of code which help you to track action of people on your website. It is used to create custom audience.
You can run ads without installing pixel but you can do tracking of your ads.
How to install FB pixel
Click on navigation bar click on event manager then click on green +sign select data source from web, app, and offine.I am explaining for website point of view.
click on next then select Facebook pixel click on connect add details click on connect,
In this step select install code manually. Click on next copy the code and paste it on the header of the website.
If you have a WordPress website then you can paste the code through Facebook pixel wordPress plugins you can google about it.
I will explain it to you in the future how to paste the code and for HTML website you can ask your developer how to install
Click on continue and click on test event or if you want to know pixel is installed or not then you can use Facebook pixel chrome extension name facebook pixel helper.
For checking if the Facebook pixel is installed or not go to the website where a pixel is installed and click on the Facebook pixel helper plugin.
Step2: Create your audience
Go to the business manager home page and click on create audience then click on the saved audience, saved audience is recommended for firs time.
Select location where you want to run your ad you can run all over India as a location or only in your city within 5 km where your business is operated.
Select age gender demographics and interest of your customer and click on create a saved audience.
Step 3: Make your ad
Go to ads manager click on create give name to your campaign.
Look on campaign details select buying type go with auction, select objective of the campaign, click on more option and you can enter campaign spend limit.
Go to campaign budget optimization set your daily budget or you can also choose lifetime budget I use daily low budget it will more effective.
Choose biding strategy and go with low cost. Click on the more option and you can schedule your ads if you have lifetime budget.
Click on next and you will see ad set you can use multiple ads set under one campaign.
Give name to your ad set. Select where you want to derive traffic from website, App, messenger and whatsapp.
Choose a date when you want to start and when you want to end the campaign. Click on more and you can also add your ad set spend limit.
Select your audience.
For placement choose facebook mobile feed and if your product is related to youth then also use Instagram story.
Go to optimization and ad delievery select cost control your call to action from optimization.
Click on more and you can select when you want to pay for your ad.
Click on next create your ad give a name to your ads. Choose ad creative write description headline of your ads. Choose the destination of your ads your call to action and your ad is ready.
